This question is always being asked me. Is “personal branding” trend, or fashion, or temporary imaging, or “be icon” for people? Actually, secret answer is in this question. If it’s temporary, a person has not been a personal brand. Please don’t confuse, personal branding is not only being celebrity, rich or influence people. When your name is talking, thinking anywhere, if people don’t think affirmative and positive things, it doesn’t work your fame.
From now on, people want to more inner world satisfaction. We don’t want to only money, power, imposing packing. We can not be satisfaction temporary ambitions, desires and materialist trends. New “people model” that is useful, free, natural is being designed everywhere. Remember TIME’s millenium cover “YOU”. Does not everybody talk about Obama, nowadays. We are talking about globalization but we see squirming and activation at the old civilisation seeds. All people are questioning yourself and everything in the world. Popular culture is flowing in our vein as color, as sound and as smell. Now, internet and mobile world is draging a lot of people and companies.
Let’s remind some brand people’s attributes and we will understand this question. It’s temporary fashion or constantly behaviors. These items are inner dynamic parameters for personal branding.
1- Time period perception: Time is not linear platform. Starting and finish points are comparing means for our brain. Actually we can think circular platform and it has dimension. And in the origin, God’s mirror for all universe with reflection. Past and future are relative concept for us. More importantly for us, be not pinched for time and managing all time.
2- Discovering and understanding ego: Ego is making sense of yourself and universe and goes to the God. But, bad using this characteristic, bad situation come up with result. We assume, “ I’m the most master power my life and all life”
3- Creation and reflex on the universe: A person is a little universe. And “being” that it has most power specialities. Our desires are endless but we are finite creature. Important for us, right thinking and true attitudes.
4- Being warmly, lovely: Let’s analyse advanced societies, they are applying to all life loving, tolerance and respect. In our seed, there is love and hate. More importantly, how we are using this specialities?
5- Be helpful: Powerful relationships are being established with helpful and warmly but without waiting response. I don’t talk about trading and corporate relations. I think, being helpful is the best cure our problems, to yourself and environment,
6- Simplicity, literalness and humbleness: We’ve a lot of relation and possibility and alerts. We are living in complexly and we don’t manage this aura. In the result, ambitions, waste, compleint and lossing motivation. Do list please and compare your necessary needs and luxury needs. You will see extra, overflow things in your heart and brain.
7- Have an ambition for benefit to environment: I think it’s very celarly for our egoist world.
8- Education and teaching, always: Reading, thinking and when we think, we are trying to changing.
9- Sweeping to garbage minds: I know, it is not possible for real life. But, consciousness raising is very important. If you wake up tiredly on every morning, there is problem in your body and in your emotions.
10- Be a model: Of course personal brands will model for other people.
11- Be a transmitter, giver and producer: We want to take everything, everytime but we don’t give.
12- Tools and targets: Actually personal development and branding theories are only “tool”. Main target must be “being human” It’ s not super ego or arrogant.
Is there any popular culture concept in these items? No, total opposite. People that think/apply with items about personal branding will be successful. Because, they talk with metalanguage. But we will follow trend, fashion, social media etc., naturally.
In conclusion, personal branding values are not fashion, trend and popular culture.
