It’s only suggestions interest with our inner life and social presence. Actually we are walking at two different path in our life. Career path and private path. Sometimes different lanes, sometimes spiral complex lines. I try to tell this ways and our needed and necessary milestones for personal branding process.</p>
<p>We are standing at the central point. There is seven box that we have to do for private and business life. These boxes are basic references for us and very important. We can questioning for daily, weekly and monthly etc.</p>

<p>Self awareness is very important for our behavior, response, sensation how it was. How is your reaction in stress. What is your goals, targets? What is your standarts, principles and values? How is my feeling adequacy, sufficiency? What am I doing for my weakness? Can you explain my situation to audience? Don’t forget; your childs, your wife, your boss, your colleague try to know who are you?</p>
<p>You know, IQ is important, EQ is important but “social intelligence” is very very important for your social presence. People  watch your trying, efforts, passions, focusing, attitudes always. And they reach to result your personal brand level. Karl Albrcht is telling five categories for social intelligence;</p>
<p><strong>Situational awareness, Presence, Authenticity, Clarity, Empathy</strong></p>
<p>You can adapt for your requirements all items in boxes.</p>
<p>Ok, we know all items and procedures but how can we monitoring with which tools. A lot of to do list application at internet and mobile systems. But, it’s not enough, it’s not useful everytime. So, we will use these application but it’s very important special manuel programs for us. As you see, last box is about feedback, replaning, reporting in diagram.</p>

They don’t being at very negative or very positive points. It’s necessary for our conscious behaviour. Especially it’s important for starting new communication and networking.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="color: #800000;">15-</span></strong> They are listining, taking advices and asking. They don’t avoid in this situations. They are unsophisticated people. They don’t show resistance for new steps, don’t afraid new process.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">When I work internet banking analyse and design in 1999, I’ve learned this rule, first time. Nowadays, we are looking for this rule on web based application, especially for social media platforms. But, we can not see completely true process for users on also best web based applications. Facebook, Google, Linkedin, Twitter, Friendfeed etc. I know, developments are going on and they are listening to users feedback. I’m using too, but not useful all milestones. Sorry!<span id="more-56"></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">I think there is some reasons, let’s check these;</p>
<p>- Incomplete analyse and wrong user’s feedback or don’t listening feedback.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- Insufficent searching and taking sample</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- Very hurry up for production for market situation!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- System constrait</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- More engineering logic or more marketing logic</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- Not thinking “how can I more simplfying this application as design and process</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>2- Mind/Notes control and following</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">We are losing our life in details, seconds or complicated minds or priorities. A person is individual “minds network”, actually. I’m asking to environment “How do you follow and remember your tasks, meetings, minds, projects, network, family tasks etc.” Everybody says a lot of different applications web based, mobile or hardcopy. For my result is bad, very bad. We are writing what are you doing on Twitter or Facebook etc. And we are sharing knowledges and new things on Friendfeed. But I ask again;</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- Do you see your notes before six months ego?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- Can you take history reporting with tags</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- Do you remember your mind  one week ego?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- What did yo “do” for your all minds and notes and when? Have you ever your history report?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Sorry, when we go to home, we are forgeting family and personal life tasks. Dinner, TV, Internet, playing with child and go to bed. We are using Outlook or Gmail for tasks, calender, meetings, notes. Not only for business, we are using for personal, family life any application. Because we are forgeting and we will forget, so we are human.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>3- Social networking</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Already, we have used mobile phone contacts and Outlook contacts, before ten years, actually. Nowadays, we are trying to manage, follow our communication and relationships on web based applications. Both of them, business and special contacts. And we can find new person and old friends. We are members some network groups. Yes, it’s a big world and we must manage hundreds and thousands people. How can you manage? Do you know answers these questions;</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- Which people contact is more important for you? Do you list any core network list or categories.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- When did you last communication with somebody and what about? Is there any report this history?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- What did you learn last time, from your network?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- What is your social network’s value addition for your personal branding process?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- We can search all our network profile informations but we don’t know actual profile, after all. We must to meet in real life.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- What did you give benefit for others, last six months.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>4- Social media</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Video, music, films, articles, news, different people, hobbies, interest, online tv etc. We want to follow all our “desires” and user contents on web and mobile platforms. Actually we are living virtual social world. Real social life and virtual social life reflected each other. Yes, I know, it’s funny and great time for everybody. But what is benefit for your actual life needs? How much time that you spend on internet? Did you consider important for your child, wife and relatives?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">All application have to show and remind your miles, action and history. You must know what did yo do on screen. So yo will measure your efficiency.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>5- Life stream</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">All people want to make control and following their life. It’s very hard life planning and personal development process following. Therefore we are waiting “help” from some mechanism, system or technologies. Web based applications on internet and mobile platorm are more useful, more cheap, more nearly, more secure, more easy updateble etc. for everybody. For example, we are following diet and sport activity programs, And we are planning financial, budget situation. Especially, if mobile integration is raedy, it’s a superb application for us.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">To my mind, these developments are too few but needs are so much. Some needs;</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- More useful calender and reminder programs. History, tags, contacts, projects, notes,</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- Mind control and following programs. It’s not telepatic, of course we will update.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- Information and communication flowing control and reporting data.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- Career way stories and weak and strong attributes.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- Family and home life tasks. We know always business contacats, business planing, business succes stories. But most important project is private life for everybody.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>6- Personal branding process management</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Actually, these all items that are very interest personal branding. Personal reputation management, personal PR is “process” you know. Don’t enough your social media high reputation on net. Don’t enough your success in your business life. Don’t enough your happy private life. Because, “life” is living whole units. All of them interest each other.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">There is some rules for brand life. If we don’t apply all life, it doesn’t work. I think all items will be followed on web-mobile applications in the future. Coding, program developing will more and more work for personal private, inner life.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>7- More personal, more special</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Generally, standart development is very easy but users don’t want to use these applications anymore. They want to change parameters and contents. Aim is different everybody. Because life priorities are different.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">All people want to use more personal, more special, more user friendly applications. Apple, Microsoft, Google, Facebook etc. are collect new free applications on their platforms for different users.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Actually users don’t want to all needs from one platform. But important and first priority needs are seriously important for everybody. Internet or social media applications are not only for “GEEK”s or rich people or business life.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>8- Hobby/interest</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Our interest area for very important. We spend too much time for our hobbies. And we want to know new informations, new pepople that is in same mind. In future, applications will be developed for niche markets.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>9- User content</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">We want to sharing, knowing, presenting, teaching etc. And we want to easyly, speedly process on mini screens. Lifestream applications started with music, video, articles. But we can not true categorise these, yet. Because, a lot of application, username password, webmails, social networks. Some questions;</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- Which sharing, where it must go?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- Who is presenting true, happyness content?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- How much effective my real life?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">- Adding and sharing processes is simple or complex?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>10- Secure</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">We are sending, adding, sharing our all special, personal informations. Yes, we have username and password but hackers can reach them everytime. Database is not in our brain or heart. All proflie informations and transactions data on the “other” hands. Only we are praying, for not using for against.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>11- More speedly and practice using</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Some countries are not using enough speed internet connection. It’s forbidden some pages in some countries. If your development architecture is not true, users are fluttering on the chair.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>12- One password on the one platform</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">There are some platforms but not widespread and we afraid security and breaking down.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>13- Mobile integration</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">We are living more mobile and using more mobile devices. Operating systmes are being integrated for a lot of handset devices. There is a lot of application for example iPhone. Internet is the not special for desktop computers or laptops. Wireless techonology is developing and chaping.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>14- Desktop application</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Everybody talks web based applications from internet but actually is not. Internet connection may be broken. I think, some applications must be on the personal hardware. We can use back up configurations, synchronous operations in some times in a day.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Some other standarts;</strong> searching, reminder sercvice, keywords/tags, categories, history reporting, sharing, performance reporting data protecting and back-up</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">You know, web applications that have these specials are winining now and will win in the future. But I think, search engines, social media applications, life stream applications are in the infancy degree, still.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">I’ve a lot of questions but I can’t find answers now, may be in the future. What’s your thinks for successful web applications?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify;">This question is always being asked me. Is “personal branding” trend, or fashion, or temporary imaging, or “be icon” for people? Actually, secret answer is in this question. If it’s temporary, a person has not been a personal brand. Please don’t confuse, personal branding is not only being celebrity, rich or influence people. When your name is talking, thinking anywhere, if people don’t think affirmative and positive things, it doesn’t work your fame.<span id="more-52"></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">From now on, people want to more inner world satisfaction. We don’t want to only money, power, imposing packing. We can not be satisfaction temporary ambitions, desires and materialist trends. New “people model” that is useful, free, natural is being designed everywhere. Remember TIME’s millenium cover “YOU”. Does not everybody talk about Obama, nowadays. We are talking about globalization but we see squirming and activation at the  old civilisation seeds. All people are questioning yourself and everything in the world. Popular culture is flowing in our vein as color, as sound and as smell. Now, internet and mobile world is draging a lot of people and companies.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Let’s remind some brand people’s attributes and we will understand this question. It’s temporary fashion or constantly behaviors. These items are inner dynamic parameters for personal branding.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>1- Time period perception:</strong> Time is not linear platform. Starting and finish points are comparing means for our brain. Actually we can think circular platform and it has dimension. And in the origin, God’s mirror for all universe with reflection. Past and future are relative concept for us. More importantly for us, be not pinched for time and managing all time.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>2- Discovering and understanding ego:</strong> Ego is making sense of yourself and universe and goes to the God. But, bad using this characteristic, bad situation come up with result. We assume, “ I’m the most master power my life and all life”</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>3- Creation and reflex on the universe:</strong> A person is a little universe. And “being” that it has most power specialities. Our desires are endless but we are finite creature. Important for us, right thinking and true attitudes.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>4- Being warmly, lovely:</strong> Let’s analyse advanced societies, they are applying to all life loving, tolerance and respect. In our seed, there is love and hate. More importantly, how we are using this specialities?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>5- Be helpful:</strong> Powerful relationships are being established with helpful and warmly but without waiting response. I don’t talk about trading and corporate relations. I think, being helpful is the best cure our problems, to yourself and environment,</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>6- Simplicity, literalness and humbleness:</strong> We’ve a lot of relation and possibility and alerts. We are living in complexly and we don’t manage this aura. In the result, ambitions, waste, compleint and lossing motivation. Do list please and compare your necessary needs and luxury needs. You will see extra, overflow things in your heart and brain.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>7- Have an ambition for benefit to environment:</strong> I think it’s very celarly for our egoist world.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>8- Education and teaching, always:</strong> Reading, thinking and when we think, we are trying to changing.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>9- Sweeping to garbage minds:</strong> I know, it is not possible for real life. But, consciousness raising is very important. If you wake up tiredly on every morning, there is problem in your body and in your emotions.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>10- Be a model:</strong> Of course personal brands will model for other people.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>11- Be a transmitter, giver and producer:</strong> We want to take everything, everytime but we don’t give.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>12- Tools and targets:</strong> Actually personal development and branding theories are only “tool”. Main target must be “being human” It’ s not super ego or arrogant.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Is there any popular culture concept in these items? No, total opposite. People that think/apply with items about personal branding will be successful. Because, they talk with metalanguage. But we will follow trend, fashion, social media etc., naturally.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In conclusion,  personal branding values are not fashion, trend and popular culture.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Let’s say that you have a lot of registrations on many social webs. You have a blog or a web page, too. You communicate with so many people on the internet. So it is quite possible to say that your personal brand is very popular on social media. Very cool but I have somethings on my mind&#8230; I wonder a few things&#8230; Let me give an example:</p>
<p>You are aged between 25-40, you have one or two kids, you are working so hard, you are a manager but you still have your superiors up there, you have a very times to spend with your family at night. If we assume that you are an entrepreneur, after working so hard on new business connections, network connections, financial sources you come home consumed by business at the end of the day.<span id="more-14"></span></p>
<p>Bad examples, don’t you think? So how do you think you will manage to surf on Friendfeed, Twitter, Xing, Linkedin etc., write on your blog, communicate with your network throughout the day and sometimes meet those virtual faces personally while working so hard? Besides you will read, search and take some trainings about your job. Let everyone comment on this intensive dilemma in his own way. We advice you <strong>“do this, do that, struggle for your own personal brand”.</strong> No guys, please don’t blame me business gurus, social media specialists etc., I am not telling this way. I am questioning&#8230; Here’s what I say and a few suggestions:</p>
<p>- You will position your personal brand on the internet, you will advertise yourself but that does not mean that<strong>your</strong>, it should not be. If this is the case, it means that you are missing so many things in real life.</p>
<p>- You envy to be a marketing speacilist, digital media expert, a software screwball and show off with so many web 2.0, 3.0 etc&#8230;.. No way. If you don’t choose your job according to your capabilities deciphered in your genes you won’t be able to achieve anything in your life. And being an expert, being a brand on an issue is not possible only by writing a few words on your blog or attending a few conferences.</p>
<p>- You’ve hanged on internet, mobile world, new enterprise areas, structures like Silicon Valley etc. Haven’t you? You will see that these things are not easy in life conditions unless you know and plan your financial sources well. If you take people who have inherited from family as examples I have to say, I’m sorry for you. But I also admit that what we faced in life is the result of our choice of working for secure monthly salaries instead of being courage enough to take risks for an enterprise.</p>
<p>- What did you do to enhance your social web for the last six months? How many of the people you have met virtually on the net became real faces for you? How many of them did you see? Did you evaluate the win-win business opportunities? You have searched many internet pages, what is the added value for you? Or was it more fun to chat or gossip? Is that what social network mean for you?</p>
<p>- Did you share your know-how, your experiences with your family and people around you? Did you contribute anything to life?</p>
<p>- Did you realize that even though everybody is talking about sharing, working or doing something together, supporting each other only selfishness has the leading role? Did you see that commercial benefits eat ethic rules?</p>
<p>- Did you understand that we always talk about “<span style="color: #0000ff;"><strong>yourself</strong></span>” while talking about personal branding, did you get the human touch on the subject? Did you have an action plan for <span style="color: #993300;"><strong>2009 </strong></span>while discovering the business world but searching for “yourself” first?</p>
<p>- Although you have read so many books, you have met so many precious people, did you realize your excuses,what you have missed in your life by giving in only because you are lazy?</p>
<p>- You have started to run by envying internet geeks and world of celebrities, haven’t you? What if you are climbing the wrong ladder? Did anybody remind you that?</p>
<p>- Technology, science, internet, mobile communication etc.are only tools for you&#8230; or did they become your aim?</p>
<p>Whatever you write on your notebook, try to erase, “<strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">reset</span></strong>” sometimes. Look what you have in your heart and mind cup&#8230; Reorganize them. Let your life be lighter, more simple, more striking, more controlled and more focused.</p>

If you agree with this line it means that you are an entrepreneur. Fine&#8230;but you are a human being first&#8230;.rich or poor&#8230; million dollar investor or leading a crowded staff, it doesn’t matter. “How am I perceived as a personal brand?”, this is the first thing you should ask to yourself. If you have a regular sense to ask this question to yourself then you have a great chance to be successfull. Let’s see the reasons why&#8230;<span id="more-10"></span></p>
<p>Entrepreneurs are mostly ambitios people and if we are talking about an overdose ambition that can not be controlled, the result will most probably be a disaster. Besides Mediterraneans like us combine this ambitious nature with hastiness. You can imagine the results of this perfect combination&#8230; As a result of these kind of habits, the first attempts as entreprenurs usually stay as a bittersweet memory. At this very point it’s the life itself , in other words it’s “us” that we have missed.</p>
<p>Let’s go on with an overview;</p>
<p>- Aged between 25-40 (apologies for younger and older ones)</p>
<p>- 95% have to continue to their existing carrier</p>
<p>- Most of them do not have an extra money for an extra 6 months of living without salaries</p>
<p>- They have the ideas, they have the desire but most probably there is no sign of a business plan</p>
<p>- They have a very little experience</p>
<p>We can make the list longer but enough for now&#8230; I wonder if my entrepreneur fella has ever asked himself the questions below for a trasnformation as a personal brand&#8230;.</p>
<p>- The most important question, do I have to make this attempt now? Or is it the garage tales of my 20 years age makes me think that I have to do this!</p>
<p>- Am I capable enough to have an attempt in this issue? If not am I experienced enough to manage the ones who have the know-how on the issue? How much leadership is running on my veins?</p>
<p>- Are my dreams my real targets and are they written somewhere? How many people ever “realy”criticized me on these targets?</p>
<p>- How many books have I read, how many people have I met, how many places have I visited all through my life? What is my capacity for an intellectual communication?</p>
<p>- Do I have the ability to communicate? Have I ever heard the book “Never Eat Alone”? If yes have I read it and where am I ranking, how much points did I get?</p>
<p>- If I have professional life of 10-15 years, what kind of a social network have I set?</p>
<p>- How many real friends do I have who will try to help me in circumstances like unemployment or simply being broke?</p>
<p>- Where do I stand in social media in the world of Internet? How did I express myself?</p>
<p>- How is my ability to talk, to write? What can I say about my body language?</p>
<p>- Can I explain myself with one or two lines as an elevator speech?</p>
<p>- Do I only trust my creative ideas or am I good and fast at application level as well?</p>
<p>- How many times did I financially collapsed in my private life&#8230;like credit cards? What is my financial plan now?</p>
<p>- As the last one, what people think when they hear my name?</p>
<p>This is a very long list. And it is a fact that most of the answers will be far away from being positive. Please don’t get me wrong, I don’t mean that you can be an entrepreneur if only you have the perfect conditions. But you can not fix a broken car on the road, you have to check the car beforehand.</p>
<p>1- Bring forth your strengths which can contribute to your attempt&#8230;. Talking to the crowd, creative solutions, good writing&#8230;. You will discover new strengths of yours which you have never realized and you will improve.</p>
<p>2- Never close yourself&#8230;. Get on the stage and talk about yourself and your attempt. Social media is more than enough for this step.</p>
<p>3- Never ignore your personal life and your family. Do not spend all your time for your project, you have to keep up for a healthy and happy mind. An obsessive approach will be a comlete disaster.</p>
<p>4- Be open, talk about yourself in a modest way. It is important to give the right information.</p>
<p>5- Consult, ask for good advice, ask and search.</p>
<p>6- Don’t think that you are the center of gravity. On the contrary you will be the one turning around so many things. When you face yourself you will see that most of your attempts are unnecessary. Give up following the people, events that detain you.</p>
<p>7- Forget about burning the bridges. Shape up yourself in a way that makes other people burn the bridges.</p>
<p>8- Follow the commercial opportunities instead of intriguing environments.</p>
<p>9- Be prepared for the worst scenario but never speak of it. Keep your crisis management as plan B.</p>
<p>10- Never forget that the only thing matters is your life at the end of the day. Nothing is more precious than your own life. You yourself is your most important project. Make your first marketing plan for yourself.</p>
<p>Read continuosly. Work on great entrepreneurs, CEOs, leaders&#8230; see their way of thinking, decision making. Avoid the “I said it and it will happen, I talk with my money, I have it and I will do it” mentality. There are so many articles on the Internet about this issue. Read them, take notes and write yourself even your faults.</p>
<p>Remember <span style="color: #993300;"><strong>“you are the brand&#8230;!”</strong></span></p>
